Interview with Oprah

Oprah: So Louis,  when did you first become blind?

Oprah: Why did you decide to make up a system/code?

Oprah: Do you think your system- Braille- will be used all over the world some time in the future?

Louis Braille: I first became blind when I was three years old. I was helping my father out in his workshop, when one of his tools hit me in the eye. At first, it only effected my one eye, then progressed to the other one.

Louis: I decided to make a code because I wanted to (learn to) read and write.

Louis: I don't know what the future holds, but I hope that someday, because of my code, many  blind people will use it to read and write.
